Things to do

Things to see and do on Melbourne

Love learning

Attend one of the nursing or midwifery conferences at the ANMF (Vic Branch) Carson Conference Centre or a seminar at the ANMF Education Centre – both located at 535 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne.

Sports fans

Take a tour of the Australian Sports Museum at the MCG before catching a game, take a run alone the Yarra to the locals’ favourite running track “the tan” or grab your swimmers and test your nerve on the 10m dive platform at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Central in Albert Park. If you time it right you may have the Australian Open Tennis, The Formula 1 Grand Prix or the Melbourne Cup on your doorstep.

Culture vultures

Spend a day immersed in the arts at some of Melbourne’s iconic museums and galleries. Start with a visit to the National Gallery of Victoria in Southbank before being amazed at the Australian Centre for the Movie Image (ACMI) and on to Melbourne Museum on Lygon St. Discover local artists at a pop-up gallery in Fitzroy or take an epic adventure into art at the Lume museum in South Wharf.

Foodies

Take the Ultimate Foodie Tour of Queen Victoria Market and meet some of the market’s third generation stall holders. Taste your way through the market with a local guide and learn the history of the market and its vendors.
Work your way through Melbourne’s renowned restaurants that puts Melbourne top of every foodie’s wish list – MoVida, Cutler & Co to name a few. Venture to South Melbourne market for their famous “dimmies” and grab some fresh oysters on the go while you’re there.
